Lord Baden Powell - Founder of the Scouting Movement

Located at the northen most point of the Illawarra 1st Helensburgh Scout Group has been operating since 1911. Officially registered in March 1916 we celebrated our 100 years of official registration in 2016. 

Scouting aims to provide a fun and exciting environment for all young people (male and female) from ages 6 and through into adulthood. 

Our Group is always looking for new youth members as well as adults who can become leaders or help support the group.

For our youth members they can look forward to taking part in activities that you can be part of include camping, hiking, canoeing, indoor rock climbing and gliding as well as gaining plenty of other valuable experiences and life skills.

We operate most weeks of the school term at the Scout hall.

While you are always welcome to drop by we do sometimes get away from the hall for our meetings. If you are interested in coming along please get in contact with the Section leader or our Group leader to be sure where we are going to be that week.
